“Houston, we have a problem new cheer competition in town!“ The NCA All-Star Nationals, the world’s largest cheerleading competition, will be moving to Houston, Texas, for 2026-2028.
This move comes as the city of Dallas prepares to renovate the arena where the competition has been held every year.
As we’ve mentioned in previous updates, the construction plans are affecting the NCA Nationals’ schedule and location. Originally, the 2026 event was planned for January instead of its usual late-February date.
However, with the new construction timeline, the event will now take place in Houston and return to its usual end-of-February dates.
Competition Timeline:
- 2025: Regular event in Dallas, Texas
- 2026: Houston, Texas
- 2027: Houston, Texas
- 2028: Houston, Texas
- 2029: Planned return to Dallas, Texas
